Description

If you don't have a grill, you can cook the shish kebab in a regular way — in a frying pan. You can prepare shish kebab using pork in the same way.

Ingredients

  • Onion 2 heads
  • Lamb 20 oz
  • Scallions 5 oz
  • Tomatoes 5 oz
  • Lemon ½ piece
  • Vinegar essence 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the lamb (loin or meat from the hind leg), cut it into small pieces, place it in a bowl, add salt, sprinkle with ground pepper, add finely chopped onion, vinegar or a teaspoon of lemon juice, and mix. Cover the bowl with a lid and place it in a cool place for 2–3 hours to marinate the lamb.

Step 2

Before grilling, thread the marinated pieces of lamb onto a metal skewer, alternating with sliced onions. Grill the shish kebab over glowing coals without flames for about 15–20 minutes, turning the skewer to ensure the lamb cooks evenly.

Step 3

Remove the finished shish kebab from the skewer, place it on a plate, drizzle with oil, and garnish with green onions, sliced tomatoes, and lemon wedges. Additionally, you can serve boiled rice and separately dried ground barberry or pomegranate juice as a side dish.
