Lamb Pilaf with Barberry
Ingredients
- Lamb 20 oz
- Onion 4 pieces
- Carrot 6 pieces
- Rice 0 lbs
- Garlic 5 cloves
- Vegetable Oil 15 fl oz
- Bay leaf 3 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Tomatoes 6 pieces
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Dried Barberry 5 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Heat the oil well in a cauldron.
Step 2
Wash and dry the meat, then place it in the heated oil, previously cut into 200-gram pieces. Fry until golden brown.
Step 3
Slice the onion into half rings and cut the carrot into squares along its length.
Step 4
Transfer the fried meat to a plate, then fry the carrot until golden, and after that, fry the onion until dark. The onion can be discarded. Fry all ingredients separately.
Step 5
In the cauldron, place the meat, carrot, spices (barberry, pepper, salt, bay leaf, garlic). Rinse the rice, add it to the cauldron, and carefully pour in water until the rice is covered by two fingers (the pilaf cooks on low heat).
Step 6
Serve with vegetables.
