Lamb Curry

Ingredients

  • Lamb Shoulder 8 pieces
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Red Curry Powder 1 tablespoon
  • Wheat Flour 1 tablespoon
  • Baking Tomatoes 15 oz
  • Lime and chili chutney 0 oz
  • Carrot 2 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Trim excess fat and sinew from the meat. Heat oil in a skillet and add the lamb. Cook over medium heat for 2 minutes on each side, or until browned. Transfer to a paper towel.

Step 2

In the same skillet, add finely chopped onion and garlic and sauté for 2 minutes until softened. Add curry powder and flour and sauté for another minute.

Step 3

Return the meat to the skillet, pour in the tomatoes and 375 ml of water, add chutney and chopped carrots, and bring to a boil.

Step 4

Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 40 minutes until the meat is tender.
