Lamb Burgers Stuffed with Feta Cheese and Mint
Main Dishes • American
Description
Burgers can be cooked not only on the grill but also simply in a skillet. If using a regular gas stove, it will take about 12-14 minutes to brown the burgers on both sides. Cook over medium heat.
Ingredients
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Rack of Lamb 20 oz
- Mint Leaves ½ bunch
- Feta cheese 5 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the burger filling, thoroughly mix the crushed garlic with a pinch of salt, pepper, finely chopped feta, and chopped fresh mint leaves.
Step 2
Divide the ground lamb into 8 equal parts. To shape 4 patties, take one portion of the meat in your palm, make a depression in it, spoon in some filling, and cover it with a second portion of meat. Carefully shape the meat with both hands to form a patty. Repeat this process with the remaining meat 3 more times.
Step 3
Sprinkle the burgers with salt and pepper to taste, place them on a hot baking sheet or skillet, and put them in a moderately heated grill. After about 4-5 minutes, carefully flip them and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
Step 4
Serve with warm pita, ketchup, mustard, and Greek yogurt.
