Ingredients
- Beef 45 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 glass
- Butter 0 oz
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Ground Black Pepper 20 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Potato 5 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut 3 pounds of tender beef into 12 pieces, pound each piece with a meat mallet until it is flattened but not torn, and coat in flour; place a piece of butter weighing 1/8 pound at the bottom of a pot, then add the pieces of beef along with two sliced onions, season with salt, add 1 bay leaf and 20 black peppercorns.
Step 2
Season with salt, pour in water, cover with a lid, and place on the stove; when the juice evaporates, add more water; move the bottom pieces to the top to prevent them from sticking to the pot.
Step 3
When the beef is tender and the juices are liquid, stir in 1/2 tablespoon of flour and bring to a boil.
Step 4
Heat the boiled potatoes, sliced, in the beef and serve. Instead of flour, you can use 1/2 cup of grated rye bread.
