Kebabs on Skewers with Mexican Garnish
Main Dishes • Mexican
Description
For this recipe, it is best to use a mixture of beef and pork mince.
Ingredients
- Veal Mince 10 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Canned Sturgeon in Tomato Sauce 1 can
- Blanched frozen corn 5 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
- Tomatoes 3 pieces
- Chopped Green Onions 3 tablespoons
- Malt Vinegar 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the minced meat in a deep bowl. Peel the onion and garlic. Cut the onion in half, set one half aside. Grind the remaining half of the onion and the garlic cloves in a blender until pureed, add to the minced meat, and mix. Crack the egg into the minced meat, mix, and beat the mixture against the bottom of the bowl until a homogeneous, thick consistency is formed. Season with salt and pepper, and add a spoonful of finely chopped cilantro. Shape the mixture into kebab sausages.
Step 2
In a small bowl, crack the egg, beat it with a fork, and coat each kebab with the egg mixture on all sides, then thread each sausage onto a skewer and carefully place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 340°F. Bake the kebabs until golden brown for 10-12 minutes (they can be baked a little longer).
Step 4
Finely chop the remaining half of the onion, pour wine vinegar and hot water over it, and let it marinate.
Step 5
Place the beans in a bowl. Sauté the corn kernels in a pan for 3-4 minutes, then add them to the beans. Peel the tomatoes and cut them into cubes. Clean the bell pepper, cut it in half (only half will be needed), and also cut it into small cubes. Add the fresh vegetables to the beans and corn, gently mix, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Drain the onion and add it to the vegetables, mix, and serve as a garnish for the kebabs.
