Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
To ensure the salmon is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, we will first sear it in a pan and then finish cooking it in the oven. Preheat the oven to 430°F, and place the skillet over medium-high heat. Season your steak with salt and pepper on both sides and drizzle with lemon juice. Pour a little olive oil into the heated skillet. Now place your steak in the skillet. Sear it on one side — this will be the top.
Step 2
Once the steak is browned, transfer it to a baking sheet lined with foil. Place a slice of lemon on the steak and wrap it in foil. The salmon will bake for a short time, about 7–9 minutes.
Step 3
Place the finished steak on a plate with the browned side facing up. A good side dish for it will be boiled broccoli (fresh broccoli should be boiled for 5–7 minutes in a small amount of salted water. Frozen broccoli should be boiled for 12–15 minutes after boiling). Don't forget to serve a slice of lemon with the fish for drizzling on the steak.
