Description
The name of the dish translates from English as 'to simmer gently.' Sausages and bacon are layered with potatoes, covered with broth, and left in a preheated oven for as long as 5 hours. But it's worth it.
Ingredients
- Potato 5 lbs
- Kebabs 20 oz
- Bacon 20 oz
- Onion 3 pieces
- Chicken Broth 15 fl oz
- Parsley 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the bacon into large pieces and cut the sausages in half.
Step 2
Sauté the bacon and sausages in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 3
Slice the onion into rings.
Step 4
Chop the parsley.
Step 5
Cut the potatoes into large pieces (if the potatoes are small, leave them whole).
Step 6
Layer the ingredients in a thick-bottomed pot, starting with the onions.
Step 7
Then add the bacon and sausages.
Step 8
Next, add the potatoes. Sprinkle each layer with parsley, and season with salt and pepper.
Step 9
Pour in hot broth.
Step 10
Cover with a lid and place in a preheated oven at 300°F for 5 hours.
