Description
Irish Beef and Potato Stew
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes 0 lbs
- Spanish onions 3 pieces
- Turnips 2 pieces
- Orange Bell Peppers 2 pieces
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Dried Rosemary 1 teaspoon
- Garlic 9 cloves
- Beef 0 lbs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the onions randomly and sauté them in a large deep skillet over medium heat until golden. Then add the beef, cut into medium pieces, and sauté until the beef changes color (just sear the meat). Next, add 2 cups of water and simmer for 45–60 minutes. Don't forget to add salt and pepper at this stage.
Step 2
While the beef is simmering, chop the bell peppers into medium pieces and slice the carrots into medium strips. Mince the garlic as finely as possible. After the beef has simmered for the specified time, add the bell peppers, carrots, and garlic along with another cup of water, and simmer for an additional 15–25 minutes. Remember to stir occasionally.
Step 3
When the meat and vegetables have simmered for a sufficient time, add the chopped potatoes and simmer until cooked, and don't forget the rosemary.
