Ingredients
- Veal 20 oz
- Onion 2 pieces
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Potato 5 pieces
- Carrot 1 piece
- Tomatoes 4 pieces
- Paprika 1 tablespoon
- Black Cumin (Cumin) a pinch
- Pork fat 2 spoons
- Bay leaf 1 piece
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the veal into 2 cm cubes. Peel and chop the onion, garlic, and carrot, then sauté them in melted fat in a pot for 6–7 minutes.
Step 2
Add the meat and cook for 10 minutes. Add paprika, cumin, 1 cup of water, and simmer on low heat for 25 minutes, gradually adding water until you reach 1 liter.
Step 3
Scald the tomatoes with boiling water, then rinse them with cold water and peel off the skin. Cut the flesh into pieces. Dice the potatoes into cubes similar in size to the meat. Season the goulash with salt and pepper, add the potatoes, tomatoes, and bay leaf, and cook for another 20 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
