Hungarian Beef Goulash
Main Dishes • Hungarian
Description
Paprika gives this dish a rich color and flavor, greatly stimulating the appetite. Sprinkle it with herbs and serve with your favorite side dish — I think a potato side would be the best fit here. That's it! A very hearty and delicious goulash is ready.
Ingredients
- Onion 3 pieces
- Beef 0 lbs
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion and garlic.
Step 2
Heat a heavy-bottomed pot, pour in the oil, and sauté the onion until lightly golden.
Step 3
Add the garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds (I didn't have any, so I substituted with oregano).

Combine the broth and tomato paste, then add to the pot. Mix well.
Step 6
Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low.
Step 7
Add the meat. Cook uncovered for about 1 to 1.5 hours, until the meat is tender.
