Honey Glazed Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- Duck wings 20 oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Soy Sauce 2 spoons
- Balsamic Vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Grated Ginger Root 2 spoons
- Orange juice concentrate 6 teaspoons
- Honey 3 spoons
- Cayenne Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Wash and pat the wings dry with a paper towel. Cut each wing into 3 parts: for the dish, you only need the 2 meaty parts; the tip can be discarded or saved for broth.
Step 2
Season the wings with salt and pepper to taste, and place them on a greased rack. Position a deep baking tray lined with foil underneath the rack to catch the drippings as they melt. Cook the wings this way for 30 minutes, flipping them once.
Step 3
Meanwhile, prepare the sauce. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and sauté the minced garlic. Add vinegar, soy sauce, orange juice, honey, ginger, and pepper. Mix everything well, reduce the heat, and simmer for 10–12 minutes until thickened.
Step 4
Brush the wings with the prepared sauce, cook for 5–7 minutes at an increased temperature of 390°F, turn them over, brush the other side, and bake for another 5 minutes until fully cooked.
