Description

Hollywood-Style Ham with Apples and Mustard

Ingredients

  • Ham 5 lbs
  • Pickled Apples 5 oz
  • Cider 25 fl oz
  • Brown Sugar ¾ cup
  • Apple Cider Vinegar 6 tablespoons
  • Dijon Mustard 3 tablespoons

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 320°F. Place the ham in a baking dish and roast until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 150°F, about 15 minutes for every 450 grams.

Step 2

In a pot, add the cider and apples and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook for about 8 minutes until the volume reduces to 1.5 cups. In a small bowl, mix the sugar, vinegar, and mustard, then add to the cider mixture. Cook the sauce for about 6 minutes until it reduces to 2.25 cups.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 375°F. Cut 8 thin slices from the ham, place them in a glass dish, and drizzle with the sauce. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until the ham is heated through and the sauce starts to bubble. Transfer to a serving platter and serve.
