Ingredients
- Apple 1 piece
- White bread 5 oz
- Salad Potatoes 4 pieces
- Lightly Salted Red Fish 1 piece
- Onion 1 piece
- Sour Cream 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Herbs to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the potatoes and mash them while hot through a sieve.
Step 2
Grate the apple on a fine grater.
Step 3
Prepare the herring, finely chop it.
Step 4
Finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil.
Step 5
Soak the bread in water, then squeeze it out.
Step 6
Mix all the ingredients, add sour cream, egg, and spices. Whisk together.
Step 7
Place the resulting mixture in a greased baking dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs, and bake for 35–40 minutes at 355°F.
