Description

My original recipe. Serve with a mixed green salad and good wine.

Ingredients

  • Red Grape Juice 5 oz
  • Mild Chili Spice ½ piece
  • Thyme to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fig 5 oz
  • Soy Sauce 5 fl oz
  • Honey 2 tablespoons
  • Pomegranate Seeds 2 tablespoons
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 0 fl oz
  • Pork tenderloin 4 pieces

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Marinate the steaks in red dry wine. Do not add salt!

Step 2

Add fresh thyme leaves, chili, and pepper, and let sit for about an hour, stirring occasionally.

Step 3

Preheat the grill, place the steaks on it. Brush the steaks with vegetable oil on the grill. Grill, turning several times and basting with the marinade.

Step 4

Cut the figs in half and mix with soy sauce, honey, and lemon juice, then place under the grill in the oven for about 15 minutes (until lightly browned on the cut side).

Step 5

Salt the steaks at the very end.

Step 6

Serve the steaks drizzled with fig sauce, with fig halves.

Step 7

Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
