Green Beans with Mushrooms
Ingredients
- Fresh Mushrooms 15 oz
- Chinese green beans 15 oz
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Spices to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rinse the green beans in cool water, trim the ends, and cut into pieces 3–4 cm long.
Step 2
Add the cut green beans to boiling water and cook until tender (10–15 minutes).
Step 3
Peel the onion and chop finely.
Step 4
Sauté the chopped onion in sunflower oil.
Step 5
Add the mushrooms, washed and cut into small pieces, to the onion and sauté for 15 minutes. If using fresh wild mushrooms, they should be pre-boiled in water.
Step 6
Drain the cooked green beans in a colander.
Step 7
Add them to the skillet with the mushrooms.
Step 8
Add sour cream (or mayonnaise), minced garlic, salt, mix, and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Step 9
Let it sit off the heat under a lid for about 1 hour to allow the beans to absorb the salt.
Step 10
Before serving, sprinkle with freshly ground pepper.
