Ingredients
- Lemon 1 piece
- Poultry 4 pieces
- Garlic 8 cloves
- Tkemali (plum sauce) 3 tablespoons
- Honey 1 tablespoon
- Mild Chili Spice 4 pieces
- Oyster Mushrooms 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Rub the skin of the chickens with lemon and minced garlic, then tie the legs of each chicken together with string.
Step 3
Transfer the chickens to a baking tray and fill with water until the tray is full. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil.
Step 4
Mix tkemali, oyster sauce, honey, and minced chili and brush onto the chickens. Return to the oven and cook uncovered for another 40 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown. Remember to periodically baste with the marinade during cooking.
Step 5
Serve with boiled rice and green beans.
