Glass Noodles with Chicken and Broccoli
Main Dishes • European
Description
How to determine how much soy sauce to add? You need to add enough so that when mixed with the vegetables, all the noodles turn the color of the sauce. But the main thing is not to overdo it. If you pour in too much, it will taste bad and be too salty!
Ingredients
- Rice Noodles 5 oz
- Broccoli 0 oz
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 20 oz
- Soy Sauce 0 fl oz
- Frozen green bean pods 0 oz
- Olive Oil 1 teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper ½ teaspoon
- Grated Ginger Root ½ tablespoon
- Toasted Sesame 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the glass noodles according to the instructions on the package (soak two 'bundles' of glass noodles in a bowl with boiling water for 5–7 minutes). But the main thing is not to overcook them!
Step 2
While the noodles are soaking, place the chopped chicken in a large skillet. Sauté in olive oil, add ground ginger (it enhances the flavor of the chicken) and black pepper. Add the broccoli and green beans (I used frozen ones) — at this point, you can add any vegetables, add a little water, cover with a lid, and simmer.
Step 3
The glass noodles should be ready now. Drain the water and add them to the chicken and vegetables, pour in a little soy sauce, and mix everything (there should still be a little water left in the skillet — this is why the noodles will simmer with the chicken for another 5 minutes under the lid).
Step 4
Before serving, you can sprinkle with sesame seeds.
