Ingredients

  • Tomatoes 3 pieces
  • White Beans 1 cup
  • Turnips 2 pieces
  • Scallions 1 bunch
  • Vegetable Oil 2 tablespoons
  • Grated Ginger Root 1 tablespoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Herbs to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Soak the beans overnight. In the morning, rinse them, cover with water, and cook until tender in salted water. Then drain the water.

Step 2

Grate the carrots. Blanch the tomatoes, peel them, and cut into cubes. Chop the onions.

Step 3

Heat the oil in a skillet, sauté the ginger for 1–2 minutes. Add the carrots and sauté for another 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and onions, cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 4

Mix the resulting mixture with the beans. If desired, finely chopped herbs can be added before serving.
