Georgian Pilaf
Ingredients
- Onion 0 lbs
- Beans 10 oz
- Egg noodles for wok 10 oz
- Rice 0 lbs
- Vegetable Oil ½ cup
- Spices to taste
- Clarified Butter 2 tablespoons
- Water 5 qt
- Armenian Lavash 1 piece
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Boil the beans until cooked.
Step 2
Sauté the onion until semi-cooked, add the beans and spices, and sauté until done.
Step 3
Boil the rice together with the noodles in a large amount of water, then drain.
Step 4
Layer in a pot: lavash, rice with noodles, onion.
Step 5
Simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.
Step 6
Add the clarified butter and spices and simmer for another 20 minutes.
