Georgian Fried Fish in Sour Cream Marinade
Main Dishes • Georgian
Description
It turns out incredibly tender and crispy. I think the fish could also be baked in the oven — it would be less greasy, but I wanted to make it authentically, like a Georgian chef.
Ingredients
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- White fish 20 oz
- Apple Cider Vinegar 0 oz
- Breadcrumbs 0 oz
- Mild Chili Spice to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Marinate any white fish (I used white amur) in a mixture of sour cream and vinegar (3:2) and let it sit for a couple of hours.
Step 2
Coat the fish in good quality breadcrumbs (I used homemade ones made from ciabatta) and fry in a well-heated skillet with vegetable oil until golden brown, season with salt, pepper, and add chili.
