Description

Few dishes are as popular as fried potatoes. However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind: stir the potatoes less frequently, and before you start frying, soak the potatoes for half an hour to remove excess starch. Prepare the necessary ingredients.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized pieces; it doesn't matter much whether they are sticks or wedges. The cooking time will vary depending on the method and size of the cut.

Place the chopped potatoes in a deep bowl and cover with cold water to remove excess starch. Let them soak for 30 to 40 minutes.

Then pat dry thoroughly with paper towels.

In a heavy flat skillet, heat vegetable and butter over high heat.
