Description

Fried Frankfurt sausages in batter

Ingredients

  • Frankfurter sausages 8 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 4 tablespoons
  • Ketchup to taste
  • Baking Powder 0 oz
  • Vegetable Oil to taste
  • Chicken Egg 1 piece
  • Activated Baking Soda ¼ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Insert wooden skewers into the sausages, leaving about 8 cm free. Lightly coat in flour.

Step 2

For the batter, mix the flour with baking powder, 2 tablespoons of wheat flour, and baking soda with 125 ml of water, then add the lightly beaten egg. Transfer to a processor and knead well to combine the ingredients. Transfer the batter to a bowl.

Step 3

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet. Holding the wooden stick, dip the sausages into the batter until fully coated. Shake off the excess batter.

Step 4

Carefully lower the sausages into the hot oil, holding onto the end of the stick. Hold for a few seconds until the sausages start to float. Fry for about 1 minute until golden and crispy. Carefully transfer to a paper towel. Repeat the same with all the sausages. Serve with ketchup.
