Fried breaded tuna with tomato and herb salad

Ingredients

  • Bonito tuna fillet 2 pieces
  • Mustard Greens 5 oz
  • Olive Oil 4 tablespoons
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Breadcrumbs to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Marinated cherries 5 oz
  • Oregano to taste
  • Shallot 1 head
  • Basil to taste
  • Parsley to taste
  • Meyer Lemon Juice 2 tablespoons
  • Parmesan Cheese 0 oz
  • Pistachios 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

If the tuna steaks are frozen, thaw them. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Step 2

Mix the mustard with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and lemon zest. Spread the mixture on the tuna steaks and let marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes.

Step 3

In a dry skillet, toast the pine nuts until golden and let cool completely in the pan.

Step 4

Wash the herbs, dry them, and chop finely.

Step 5

Combine the shallot, tomatoes, lemon juice, and olive oil.

Step 6

Season to taste with salt. Add the parmesan, herbs, and pine nuts to the salad. Mix well.

Step 7

In a non-stick skillet, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil.

Step 8

Thoroughly coat the tuna steaks in breadcrumbs, shaking off any excess, and immediately place them in the skillet. Fry the tuna on both sides for no more than 4 minutes.

Step 9

Transfer the steaks to serving plates. Serve topped with the salad.
