  • Chinese green beans 0 lbs
  • Wheat Flour 0 oz
  • Activated Baking Soda ¼ teaspoon
  • Safflower Oil 10 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Cut the bean pods so that each contains a seed. Rinse and dry them.

Step 2

Drop the beans into boiling salted water, add a pinch of baking soda, and cook uncovered for 1 hour until they are soft. Drain the water.

Step 3

Heat the oil in a deep skillet to 355°F. Dip the beans in flour and cook in batches for 6 minutes until they are golden brown. Serve as a side dish with meat.
