Description

French-style Chicken with Thyme, White Wine, and Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • Pickled Chanterelles 5 oz
  • Poultry 2 pieces
  • Thyme 1 bunch
  • Onion 2 pieces
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Butter 3 tablespoons
  • Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
  • Dry White Wine 5 fl oz
  • 10% cream 0 fl oz
  • Salt a pinch
  • Ground Black Pepper a pinch

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Place the chickens in a deep skillet and fry until golden brown.

Step 2

Pour in water until it reaches halfway up the chickens, add salt, place thyme, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 40–50 minutes.

Step 3

Then remove the chickens and pour the broth into a separate container.

Step 4

Heat the butter in the skillet, add the chopped onion, sauté for 3–4 minutes, then add the mushrooms and garlic, along with a bit of salt and pepper.

Step 5

Sift the flour directly into the skillet, stir, and pour in the wine.

Step 6

Bring to a boil and add 400 ml of the broth.

Step 7

Place the chickens in this sauce and heat under the lid for another 15–20 minutes (don't forget to pour the sauce directly over the chickens so the meat absorbs the flavors from the inside).

Step 8

Sprinkle with parsley and serve with a baguette and white wine.
