  • Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Yellow onion 1 head
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Rice 1 cup
  • Raisins 5 oz

Step 1

In a medium-sized pot, melt the butter over medium heat.

Step 2

Add the onion and cook for about 8 minutes until it becomes completely soft.

Step 3

Season with salt and pepper. Add the rice and cook while stirring.

Step 4

Add another 2 cups of water so that the rice becomes soft enough, then reduce the heat to the minimum.

Step 5

Remember that all the water should be absorbed by the rice.

Step 6

Let the rice sit for 3-5 minutes, then you can add the raisins and mix everything well.
