
Fragrant Beef Pilaf

Description
If you are lucky enough to find Devzira rice, be sure to make pilaf with it! This particular rice variety is simply perfect for pilaf! You won't regret it!
Ingredients
- Boneless pork shoulder 20 oz
- Boiled White Round Rice 10 oz
- Water 20 fl oz
- Onion 2 heads
- Carrot 4 pieces
- Turmeric 1 tablespoon
- Toasted Cumin Seeds 1 tablespoon
- Red Long Chili Peppers ¼ spoons
- Dried Barberry 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Green peppercorns to taste
- Salt to taste
- Paprika ½ spoons
- Garlic 1 head
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the onion into half-rings.
Step 2
Cut the carrot into sticks.
Step 3
Cut the meat into medium-sized pieces.
Step 4
Add the onion to the hot sunflower oil and sauté until golden brown.
Step 5
Add the meat and cook for 6–8 minutes.
Step 6
Add the carrot to the meat and cook for about 8 minutes.
Step 7
Add all the necessary spices and sauté them briefly.
Step 8
Pour about half of the total required amount of water into a pot, bring it to a boil, and then simmer covered for about 30–40 minutes.
Step 9
Rinse the rice thoroughly.
Step 10
After the meat has simmered, gently sprinkle in the rice and spread it out evenly. Do not stir!
Step 11
Carefully pour in the remaining water, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 40 minutes.
Step 12
Do not stir the pilaf throughout the entire cooking process!
Step 13
Occasionally check the rice, and as soon as it absorbs half of the liquid, push a head of garlic into the center, cover with a lid, and let it continue to cook. If necessary, carefully make holes in the pilaf to allow steam to escape more effectively.
Step 14
Once the pilaf is ready, gently stir it with a spatula.
