  • Long-Grain Rice 10 oz
  • Carrot 5 fl oz
  • Onion 1 head
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Vegetable Oil 5 fl oz
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Thoroughly rinse the rice under running water and drain in a colander.

Step 2

Peel, wash, and cut the onion into 4–6 pieces.

Step 3

Peel, wash, and cut each garlic clove in half.

Step 4

Place the onion and garlic in a pan with heated vegetable oil, fry until golden, then remove with a slotted spoon.

Step 5

In the same oil, sauté the rice for 2 minutes. Pour in 1 cup of water and carrot juice, season with salt and pepper.

Step 6

Bring the contents of the pan to a boil over high heat, cook for 2 minutes, then cover with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 7

After that, remove the pan with the rice from the heat and let it sit covered for another 15 minutes.

Step 8

Gently stir the finished porridge with a spatula, serve on plates, and enjoy.
