Description

Flounder stewed with vegetables

Ingredients

  • Flounder 5 lbs
  • Celery salt 0 oz
  • Carrot 5 oz
  • Parsley 0 oz
  • Leek 0 oz
  • Onion 0 oz
  • Fat 0 oz
  • Wheat Flour 0 oz
  • Dill 1 teaspoon
  • Chopped Sage Leaves 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel, rinse, and cut the vegetables into strips or circles. Place them in a pot, pour in 150 ml of boiling water, and cook until half-done.

Step 2

Prepare the flounder by rinsing, separating the fillet, cutting it into pieces, salting, and sprinkling with flour. Fry in hot fat on both sides (small fish can be fried whole without the head).

Step 3

Place the fish on top of the vegetables, cover with a lid, and stew on low heat for 20–30 minutes. Add water as it evaporates.

Step 4

Transfer the cooked fish to a serving dish, pour over the sauce with vegetables, and sprinkle with herbs. Serve with potatoes or noodles.
