Description
Florentine Beefsteak
Ingredients
- Beef 15 oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Paprika 1 teaspoon
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Butter 0 oz
- Thyme 0 oz
- Citrus Zest Mix 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
- Meyer Lemon Juice 3 teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Rub the meat with a mixture of olive oil and paprika, and let it marinate for 30 minutes.
Step 2
Season the prepared meat with salt and sear it over high heat on both sides until browned.
Step 3
Transfer the seared meat to a baking tray, place three to four cloves of peeled garlic next to it, and put it in the oven preheated to 160–355°F. Bake for 25–30 minutes or longer until fully cooked.
Step 4
Bake the garlic in the oven for 20 minutes, removing it before the meat. Place it on a plate and let it cool.
Step 5
While the meat finishes cooking, make the sauce: mix softened butter with thyme and one teaspoon of lemon zest. Add chopped roasted garlic and mix well. Store the finished sauce in the refrigerator.
Step 6
Remove the cooked meat from the oven, cover it with foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 7
When serving, drizzle the meat with lemon juice and top with the sauce.
