Fish fillet with young potatoes

Ingredients

  • Salad Potatoes 20 oz
  • Cod 20 oz
  • Onion 1 head
  • Water 15 fl oz
  • Vegetable Oil to taste
  • Spices to taste
  • Salt to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Wash the fish, clean it, and cut it into portion-sized pieces.

Step 2

Wash the potatoes. If they are fresh, peeling is not necessary.

Step 3

Slice the onion into half-rings.

Step 4

In a pot, sauté pan, or simply a thick-bottomed skillet, pour a little vegetable oil and layer the prepared ingredients: first the potatoes, then the onion, and on top the fish.

Step 5

Add 480 ml of water.

Step 6

Salt, pepper, and sprinkle with your favorite spices (we used carrots, curry, parsley, and dill).

Step 7

Place on high heat. When it boils, reduce the heat, cover with a lid, and simmer until cooked (about 30–40 minutes).
