Feijoada with Red Beans
Ingredients
- Semi-Smoked Sausage 5 oz
- Onion 2 heads
- Garlic to taste
- Passata Tomato Sauce 2 tablespoons
- Red Grape Juice 5 fl oz
- Mild Chili Spice to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Oregano to taste
- Olive Oil to taste
- Salt to taste
- White Beans 1 cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion, mince the garlic or press it. Cut the meat products into cubes slightly larger than the beans.
Step 2
In a deep skillet with a thick bottom, pour in olive oil, heat it, and add the onion and garlic. Sauté for a few minutes, then add the pieces of meat. Fry for 5–7 minutes, then add the tomato paste and sauté a little more. Pour in the red wine, add the boiled beans, season to taste with spices, and simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
Step 3
Serve the dish hot.
