Ingredients
- Scallions 4 bunches
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Chopped Sage Leaves 0 oz
- Chickpea 15 oz
- Nut crumb 5 oz
- Ground Cumin 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Ocean salt ½ teaspoon
- TABASCO® 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil to taste
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Pide bread 4 pieces
- Corn Salad to taste
- Tomatoes to taste
- Onion to taste
- Natural Yogurt 5 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice 0 fl oz
- Cilantro 0 oz
- Courgette 1 piece
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
To prepare the yogurt, place all the yogurt ingredients in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Transfer the yogurt to a container and store it in the refrigerator until needed.
Step 2
To make the falafel, combine the green onions, garlic, cilantro, and mint in a blender and blend thoroughly.
Step 3
Add the chickpeas, bread crumbs, cumin, salt, baking powder, and TABASCO sauce. Continue mixing all the ingredients until the mixture has a consistency similar to oatmeal.
Step 4
Lightly moisten your hands with oil and form 4 patties like hamburger patties.
Step 5
Drizzle oil over each patty. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Step 6
Fry the patties for 4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
Step 7
Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels.
Step 8
Place a cooked patty in a warmed pita. Add tomatoes, onion, and salad to the pita.
Step 9
Serve with herb yogurt and cucumber.
