Estonian Meat Roll Pikkpoiss
Main Dishes • Colombian
Description
Pikkpoiss is an Estonian variation on the theme of meat patties. Literally translated, the name means 'long boy.' This is because instead of making ten small patties, you can shape one large roll and send it to the oven.

- Breadcrumbs 0 oz
- Cream 5 fl oz
- Chicken Egg 7 pieces
- Ground meat 25 oz
- Onion 2 heads
- Carrot 1 piece
- Parsley 0 oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the breadcrumbs in cream and let them sit for 10 minutes to absorb.
Step 2
Place 6 eggs in boiling water and cook for 12 minutes.
Step 3
Then transfer them to ice water to stop the cooking process.
Step 4
Chop one onion, as well as the garlic and parsley.
Step 5
Stir them into the minced meat along with the soaked breadcrumbs, raw egg, salt, and pepper. Knead it well to combine.
Step 6
Dice the second onion and grate the carrot.
Step 7
Sauté the onion in vegetable oil until it becomes translucent, then add the carrot, season with salt and pepper, and cook for another 5 minutes over low heat until the carrot is tender.
Step 8
Line a rectangular baking dish with parchment paper, and spread some of the filling on the bottom and sides.
Step 9
Then, arrange the sautéed vegetables and place the boiled, peeled eggs in a row on top of them. Next, spread the filling over this layer, smoothing it out with hands moistened with cold water.
Step 10
