Ingredients
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Spinach 15 oz
- Nutmeg to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- 10% cream 0 fl oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Lancashire cheese 0 oz
- Parmesan Cheese 0 oz
- Milk 10 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the prepared spinach at the bottom of a baking dish, season with salt and pepper, and add nutmeg. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon of cream and place on the lower rack of the oven.
Step 2
For the sauce: In a saucepan, place the butter and flour, add the milk, and set over medium heat. Whisk until smooth. Add grated Lancashire cheese and simmer on low heat for 3 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the dish from the oven, make 4 indentations in the spinach, and carefully crack an egg into each indentation. Season the yolks with salt and pepper, add 1 tablespoon of cream to the sauce, and pour it over the eggs.
Step 4
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan, add butter, and place on the upper rack of the oven for 20 minutes.
