Eggs in Cocotte with Cheese and Truffles
Ingredients
- Cheese Spread 6 pieces
- Butter 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 6 pieces
- Ham 5 oz
- Canned Truffles 6 pieces
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place a slice of cheese and a piece of butter the size of a hazelnut in each cocotte and put the molds in a deep baking tray. Fill the tray with boiling water halfway up the sides of the cocottes and place the entire setup in an oven preheated to 390°F; the cheese should melt.
Step 2
Then crack an egg into each mold, being careful not to break the yolk, season with salt, and return to the oven for 4-5 minutes; the whites should be cooked, while the yolks remain runny.
Step 3
During this time, finely chop the ham, and when you take the cocottes out of the oven, arrange the pieces of ham around the edge of each mold, placing a truffle slice on each yolk.
