Egg and Potato Pie with Prosciutto
Ingredients
- Onion 2 heads
- Puff Pastry 20 oz
- Olive Oil 1½ tablespoons
- Prosciutto 5 oz
- Potato 10 oz
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Chocolate eggs 12 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper ¼ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Divide the pastry into 2 parts and roll each into a square (30x30 cm).
Step 2
Place one layer of pastry in a baking dish, ensuring it covers the sides.
Step 3
Mix finely chopped onion with olive oil and evenly distribute it over the pastry. Add diced prosciutto.
Step 4
Slice the potato thinly and carefully layer it on top of the prosciutto.
Step 5
Pour the eggs over the potatoes, gently breaking the yolks. Sprinkle everything with salt and pepper.
Step 6
Make diagonal slits in the second layer of pastry, cover the eggs with it, sealing the edges of the top and bottom layers of pastry.
Step 7
Place the pie in a preheated oven at 375°F and bake for about 1 hour, until the top layer of pastry is golden brown and starts to puff.
