Duck Breast in Orange Glaze with Green Beans
Main Dishes • European
Description
Eating duck breast on its own is a powerful protein punch. But pairing it with green beans makes the duck much friendlier.
Ingredients
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Duck Breast 3 pieces
- Ginger 2 pieces
- Chinese green beans 20 oz
- Oranges 2 pieces
- Orange juice concentrate 5 fl oz
- Honey 0 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Ground clove 3 pieces
- Soy Sauce 4 tablespoons
- Corn Starch 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Make incisions on the skin of the duck breasts. Then marinate them in soy sauce with honey for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Peel the orange. Grate the peel.
Step 3
Cut the segments from the oranges.
Step 4
In a one-liter pot, mix the juice from the oranges with the prepared orange juice, add the onion and cloves. Place on low heat, bring to a boil, and simmer for 15 minutes. Then thicken the sauce with cornstarch and strain.
Step 5
In a wok, fry the duck fillet until golden brown without adding oil.
Step 6
Remove the cooked meat from the pan. Wipe the bottom of the pan with an absorbent napkin. Add oil and sauté the ginger first, then the beans.
Step 7
Slice the cooked duck crosswise into wide pieces and add to the sautéed beans, pouring part of the sauce over everything. Mix and serve on a plate.
Step 8
The remaining sauce can be served in a sauceboat.
