Dough Rolls with Minced Meat (Very Lazy Dumplings)
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 3 cups
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Water ⅔ cup
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Ground meat 15 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour. Add the egg. Add the water. Knead the dough. Let it rest for 30-40 minutes for layering (MANDATORY).
Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare the filling: meat, onion, salt, pepper. I use 50% pork and 50% beef.
Step 3
Everything else is to taste and consistency.
Step 4
Has 30 minutes passed since the dough was mixed? Roll it out to a thickness of no more than 1 millimeter. Spread the filling on top, roll it up. Be sure to pinch the long edge. Cut into pieces. These are our 'lazy' dumplings.

And then it's simple – you can boil them, steam them, or microwave them… I placed the sliced rolls in a deep skillet on a 'bed' of fried carrots and garlic, poured diluted sour cream with 'khmeli-suneli' on top, and added a small piece of butter on each dumpling. Covered with a lid and simmered on low heat until almost all the liquid was absorbed. Enjoy your meal!
