Dorado with Fresh Basil
Ingredients
- Dorado 1 piece
- Fresh basil leaves 1 bunch
- Basil 1 bunch
- Lemon 1 piece
- Olive Oil to taste
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Wash the dorado, remove excess moisture, and dry with a paper towel.
Step 2
Make shallow cuts with a sharp knife about 1 cm apart.
Step 3
Line a baking sheet with foil and place the fish on it.
Step 4
Season with salt and pepper to taste, both on top and inside the dorado.
Step 5
Drizzle with olive oil.
Step 6
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Step 7
Slice part of the lemon into half circles.
Step 8
Insert lemon pieces into the cuts.
Step 9
Thoroughly wash and dry the basil.
Step 10
Stuff the fish with the herbs. Reserve a few sprigs for serving.
Step 11
Wrap in foil and bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for 20–25 minutes. Unwrap the fish 5 minutes before it is done to allow it to brown slightly.
Step 12
Place the finished dorado on a platter, garnished with fresh basil.
