Ingredients
- Denver steak 15 oz
- Mixed Ground Peppers to taste
- Flaky sea salt to taste
- Pink Himalayan Salt to taste
- Butter 0 oz
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Thyme 4 sprigs
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the steak on a plate and let it breathe for 5–10 minutes.
Step 2
Brush the steak with olive oil.
Step 3
Heat a skillet with a pinch of coarse salt.
Step 4
Place the steak in the skillet.
Step 5
Top with thyme and sear for 2–3 minutes.
Step 6
Flip the steak, place it on the thyme sprigs, and sear for another 2 minutes.
Step 7
Sear the steak on one side for about 2–3 minutes.
Step 8
Flip to the other side and sear for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 9
Transfer the steak to foil.
Step 10
Add the mixed peppers.
Step 11
Place the butter on top.
Step 12
Wrap in foil and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 13
Transfer to a plate, add coarse pink salt to taste, and serve.
