Step 1
In a medium-sized pot, pour in water and bring it to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the rice and a teaspoon of salt. The salt should be coarse, as it will enhance the flavor and aroma. Cover the pot with a lid and slightly reduce the boiling heat.
Step 2
Let the rice cook until it has completely absorbed the water and is tender to the taste – this will take just 20 minutes. Once the rice seems tender enough for your taste, you can set the pot aside and serve the dish in portions, adding a bit of butter, Parmesan cheese, and parsley for garnish.
