Ingredients
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Macadamia Nuts 5 oz
- Onion 3 heads
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Ground ancho chili pepper 1 piece
- Mild Chili Spice 1 piece
- Meyer Lemon Juice 0 fl oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves to taste
- Butter 3 tablespoons
- Rice 3 cups
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a sufficiently large pot, heat the olive oil before adding the rice. Once the oil is hot, immediately add the nuts, onion, garlic, and chili – it's fine to add all the ingredients at once. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring well. Then mix the rice with the lemon juice. You can also add lemon zest; in this case, the dish will have a more unusual flavor.
Step 2
Heat the rice, add a bit of parsley, coriander, and seasonings (if desired), along with a little oil. Mix the seasoned rice with the contents of the pot. Finally, add salt and pepper to taste. Done! It can be served.
