Description

A wonderful dish from French cuisine that can be served either on its own or alongside meat. The garlic adds a special zest to the dish, and the amount can be adjusted according to personal preferences.

Ingredients

  • Salad Potatoes 7 pieces
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Cream 22% 5 fl oz
  • Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 10 oz
  • Salt to taste
  • Mixed Ground Peppers to taste
  • Dried Chamomile to taste
  • Dried celery leaves 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the potatoes. Wash and dry them. Slice into thin round slices.

Step 2

Take a deep baking dish or a skillet with high sides. Grease the bottom and sides of the dish with a halved clove of garlic. Do the same with the butter.

Step 3

Do not throw away the garlic. We will need it.

Step 4

Layer the dish with potatoes so that they completely cover the bottom. Place pieces of butter on top. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and spices.

Step 5

Spread a good layer of cream using a spatula or knife.

Step 6

Again, layer the potatoes on top. Add salt, pepper, and spices to taste. Add a layer of cream.

Step 7

Repeat the process until all ingredients are used up.

Step 8

The final layer should be generously sprinkled with cheese.

Step 9

Preheat the oven to 300°F.

Step 10

Place the potatoes in the oven to bake. Bake until the dish takes on a golden hue.
