
Daikon Steak

Description
Serve the steak with rice and pesto sauce.
Ingredients
- Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
- Daikon ½ piece
- Garlic 1 clove
- Olive Oil 3 tablespoons
- Fresh basil leaves 0 oz
- Pistachios 0 oz
- Ocean salt to taste
- Meyer Lemon Juice 1 tablespoon
- Parsley 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
To prepare the steak, peel the daikon and cut it into 1-1.5 centimeter thick rounds. Then make a crosswise cut on each round.
Step 2
Boil the sliced daikon for 3-4 minutes. (use soy sauce instead of salt)
Step 3
Remove from water and drain using a colander.
Step 4
In a skillet, sauté the finely chopped garlic in olive oil. Then remove the garlic and place the daikon pieces in the skillet. Sauté on both sides until a crust forms. Pour a small amount of soy sauce over the daikon and cover, cooking on low heat for about three minutes.
