Crispy Spiced Chicken with Salad
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet 30 oz
- Paprika 0 oz
- Feta cheese 5 oz
- Garlic 1 clove
- 20% Sour Cream 5 oz
- Spanish onions 1 piece
- Romaine lettuce 1 piece
- Marinated cherries 10 oz
- Turnips 2 pieces
- Rice 10 oz
- Olive Oil 2 tablespoons
- Champagne Vinegar 2 teaspoons
- Butter 0 oz
- Thyme 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 435°F, grease a baking sheet with oil or line it with parchment paper. Place 50 g of butter in a small bowl, add 0.5 tablespoons of thyme, the garlic clove minced, a pinch of salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly. Prepare a tall bowl and an immersion blender.
Step 2
Place about 900 g of chicken, cut into pieces, on the baking sheet. Sprinkle with 0.5 teaspoons of salt and 2 pinches of black pepper. Make a cross incision in the skin of each piece and rub the chicken thoroughly with the spiced butter. Place the baking sheet on the top rack of the oven for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Boil rice for 4 servings (about 250 g).
Step 4
Chop half of the red paprika, transfer it to a tall bowl, add half a pack of feta cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, and a pinch of black pepper. Blend everything with an immersion blender. Finely chop 0.5–1 head of red onion and add it to the sauce.
Step 5
Chop half a pack of romaine lettuce. Peel 2–3 carrots and slice them into thin rounds. Cut 1 pack of cherry tomatoes in half. Dice half of the red paprika. Toss the salad in a bowl and season with 1.5 tablespoons of olive oil, 1.5 teaspoons of white wine vinegar, 2 pinches of salt, and a pinch of black pepper.
Step 6
Serve the chicken with rice, sauce, and fresh salad.
