Crispy Chicken Drumsticks
Ingredients
- Chicken Drumstick 30 oz
- Paprika 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper 1 teaspoon
- Chicken Seasoning 2 teaspoons
- Corn Starch 1 tablespoon
- Wheat Flour 1½ tablespoons
- Red Curry Powder 1 teaspoon
- Toasted Sesame to taste
- Garlic ½ head
- Ketchup 10 oz
- Barbecue sauce 1 teaspoon
- Sesame Oil 1 tablespoon
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi 1 tablespoon
- Sugar 3 tablespoons
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the chilled chicken drumsticks. Cut off the cartilage from the drumstick. Pull the meat away from the bone. Take foil and tightly wrap the bones of each drumstick.
Step 2
Prepare the breading: mix cornstarch, flour, paprika, black pepper, chicken seasoning, and curry powder.
Step 3
Coat each drumstick in the resulting mixture. Place the prepared pieces on a rack.
Step 4
Place the drumsticks in the preheated oven. Bake for 40 minutes at 390°F until a crispy crust forms.
Step 5
Prepare the glaze sauce. In a saucepan, pour in rice vinegar, add cane sugar, ketchup, sriracha sauce, sesame oil, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Mix everything together. Taste and adjust seasoning.
Step 6
Remove the baked drumsticks from the oven, and if the crust is firm, it’s perfect. Drizzle the sauce over the meat.
Step 7
Return the dish to the oven for another 5 minutes at 390°F. After 5 minutes, take it out of the oven, place it on a plate, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
