Crispy cauliflower with bacon and bell peppers

Ingredients

  • Salt to taste
  • Cauliflower 1 head
  • Tomatoes 2 pieces
  • Bacon 5 oz
  • Orange Bell Peppers 1 piece
  • Cream 5 fl oz
  • Ground Nutmeg to taste
  • Emmental cheese 5 oz
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Remove the leaves from the cauliflower. Cut the head into florets and blanch in salted water for 8 minutes. Then rinse with cold water.

Step 2

Cut the tomatoes into 8 pieces.

Step 3

Slice the peeled bell pepper and bacon into strips.

Step 4

Mix the cream with 1/3 of the grated cheese. Season the cream with nutmeg, salt, and pepper.

Step 5

Transfer the blanched cauliflower to a greased baking dish.

Step 6

Layer the bell pepper, tomatoes, and bacon on top of the cauliflower. Pour the cheese and cream mixture over it and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Bake for 25 minutes at 355°F.
