Cordon Bleu Roll-Ups in Cream Sauce
Ingredients
- Ham 5 oz
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 2 pieces
- Cheese Spread 5 oz
- Cream 22% 5 fl oz
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Herbs 1 bunch
- Salt to taste
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the cheese.
Step 2
Cut the ham into thin slices.
Step 3
Cut the chicken breast lengthwise into 3 pieces.
Step 4
Pound each piece with a meat mallet or the blunt side of a knife.
Step 5
Season with salt. Place 2 slices of ham on each piece. Add cheese slices on top of the ham.
Step 6
Roll up the pieces. If done correctly, the roll-ups should not open during cooking. However, for extra security, you can secure them with toothpicks.
Step 7
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet.
Step 8
Place the roll-ups in the skillet.
Step 9
Fry on all sides until golden brown.
Step 10
Pour the cream into the skillet.
Step 11
Press in the garlic.
Step 12
Season with pepper to taste.
Step 13
Sprinkle with herbs.
Step 14
Simmer on low heat until the cream reduces by half.
Step 15
Serve with rice or vegetables.
